Delegate Bob Marshall At It Again

Many pro-choice Virginians are familiar with Delegate Bob Marshall and his unrelenting attacks on Planned Parenthood. But now Marshall is getting national attention for asserting a recent press conference that disabled childen are God’s punishment for previous abortions.

Marshall and others like him (including Governor McDonnell and Attorney General Cuccinelli) are committed to “defunding” Planned Parenthood this legislative session, which would prohibit our health centers from seeing patients on Medicaid. We’re working hard to ensure that these brazen, politically motivated attacks on the vital preventative healthcare that Planned Parenthood provides to women and families in Virginia are not included in the final version of the budget.

We won’t get a chance to unseat Delegate Marshall and other anti-choice Virginia legislators this year (they aren’t up for election until 2011) — but we’ll be reminding voters of this when the time comes!
