While we celebrate Obama’s re-election as a resounding victory for women and offer huge congratulations to those PPHS Action Fund endorsed candidates who won their races; it goes without saying we have a tough road ahead of us here in North Carolina. The conservative anti-women’s health majority in the NC General Assembly has retained full control of the legislative branch and also won the NC Gubernatorial race.
Despite this, we celebrate that women were the single largest group to early voters in North Carolina and we will demonstrate that North Carolina’s women will be watching on January 30, 2012-when the NC General Assembly reconvenes.
