Planned Parenthood Health Systems Action Fund is committed to ensuring that family planning and reproductive health care services are available to everyone who wants and needs them.
During election years, the Planned Parenthood Health Systems Action Fund endorses candidates for state elective office who have proven themselves to be strong supporters of women’s health care in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. The Planned Parenthood Health Systems Action Fund also engages in educational and electoral activity, including legislative advocacy, voter education, and grassroots organizing.
In its first election year (2008), the Planned Parenthood Health Systems Action Fund distinguished itself with 94% of its endorsed candidates winning their elections.
